What information we collect

The Site is currently configured as a public publishing website. It does not require visitor accounts, public registration, comments, contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, payments, or advertising accounts. Depending on how you use the Site, we may handle the following categories of information:

  • Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, requested URLs, referring page, timestamps, approximate location derived from an IP address, and security or performance events.
  • Operational cookie information: cookies or similar identifiers used by the hosting, caching, security, or analytics services described below. These are used for site operation, security, performance measurement, or abuse prevention, not for selling your information.
  • Information you send to us: information you voluntarily include if you contact the Site operator by email or through another channel made available in the future.
  • Public editorial information: the pages, articles, categories, and RSS/XML feed entries that the Site publishes publicly. Reading this material does not create a Site account or subscriber profile.

How the Site uses information

Information may be used to:

  • deliver, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
  • understand basic traffic and performance patterns;
  • prevent abuse, fraud, automated attacks, and unauthorized access;
  • respond to privacy, correction, rights, or support requests;
  • publish and distribute editorial content through the Site and its RSS/XML feed; and
  • comply with legal obligations or protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Site and its users.

We do not use the current public publishing configuration to create visitor accounts, make decisions about individuals, or send marketing messages.

Hosting, caching, security, and analytics providers

The Site is hosted and managed through BigScoots. BigScoots may process technical information, request data, and security or performance logs as necessary to provide hosting, caching, support, and protection services. The Site also uses Cloudflare services for DNS and related security or performance functions. Cloudflare Web Analytics code is currently present on public pages and may process information about page visits and performance.

These providers may process information on behalf of the Site operator under their own terms and privacy policies. You can review their policies at BigScoots Privacy Policy and Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

WordPress powers the publishing system. WordPress administrative cookies are used for authorized administration and are not intended to identify ordinary public visitors. The Site may also use operational cookies or similar technologies supplied by its hosting, cache, security, or analytics services.

Comments, accounts, and forms

Public comments, pingbacks, and trackbacks are disabled. Public user registration is disabled. At the time this policy was published, the Site had no public contact form, newsletter subscription, payment flow, or visitor account system. If any of these features are added, this policy should be updated before the new collection begins.

Cookies and similar technologies

Necessary cookies may be used for security, authentication, administration, caching, or technical functionality. Cloudflare may set security-related cookies, and the hosting or cache layer may use operational cookies or similar mechanisms. WordPress may set cookies when an administrator logs in or uses the dashboard.

The Site is not currently configured to use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, behavioral advertising cookies, or a public advertising account. If analytics, advertising, embedded media, affiliate tools, or other tracking technologies are added later, this policy and any required notices will be updated.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may affect security or functionality. Analytics and provider practices may also be controlled through the relevant provider’s tools where available.

Sharing and sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the Site’s current configuration. We may disclose limited information to hosting, caching, security, analytics, email, legal, or professional providers when reasonably necessary to operate the Site, respond to a request, protect users, or comply with law.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the Site, its users, or another person.

California privacy rights

If California privacy law applies to you, you may have rights to know about personal information collected, request access to or deletion of personal information, request correction of inaccurate information, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where applicable, and receive equal treatment for exercising your rights.

The Site does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To submit a privacy request, email privacy@popcornpicksmovies.com with the request type and enough information for us to understand and verify the request. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity and protect against unauthorized requests.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law and where the required authorization and verification can be provided.

Other privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may contact us using the address above to ask about your rights. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law.

Data retention

Published editorial content may remain publicly available until it is edited, unpublished, or removed. Technical, security, cache, and analytics records may be retained by the Site operator or service providers for periods reasonably necessary for security, operations, troubleshooting, legal compliance, or aggregated reporting. Email correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, document the request, or meet legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the Site’s size and purpose, including managed hosting, HTTPS, caching, access controls, and security protections. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

International processing

The Site and its service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they or their infrastructure operate. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and handle requests under applicable privacy law.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts, forms, or comments. If you believe a child has provided personal information to the Site, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

External links and embedded content

Articles may link to or, in the future, embed content from third-party websites. Those websites operate under their own privacy practices and may collect information, set cookies, or measure interactions independently. Please review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Site, its providers, or applicable legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date above will show when the policy was most recently revised. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where appropriate.
